Raymond Leury EVCO
Raymond Leury has always been interested in science & environmental issues. Twelve years ago, he bought his first EV, which eventually led him to become a member of the Electric Vehicle Council of Ottawa (EVCO) of which he is now president. His interest in environmental issues was rekindled when he attended Al Gore’s Climate Reality Corps in 2017. Now retired from a long IT career, Raymond pursues his passion by spending much of his time researching and advocating for EVs and climate change solutions.
Angela Keller-Herzog, CAFES Ottawa
Angela is the Executive Director of Community Associations for Environmental Sustainability (CAFES), an Ottawa-based local environmental organization and municipal climate watchdog. Angela believes in local action, taking responsibility, and getting things done to create the world we want to live in. Human rights and taking climate action are two of Angela’s priorities. She has received multiple awards recognizing her progressive community leadership.
William van Geest, Ecology Ottawa
William van Geest is Executive Director at Ecology Ottawa. He’s passionate about engaging and mobilizing people to promote biodiversity, sustainability, and community. William’s background is in transportation advocacy, including with Bike Ottawa. He enjoys Ottawa’s incorporation of rugged nature with the urban and can often be seen running, biking, or strolling in both.
